Jess, Leah and Yvonne discussed meeting with Sullivan Heights Grant group and showcased our new blog!  This is a tool for us to publicly document our progress.  We are also hoping that this will encourage all staff to get involved.

The basic things we talked about were our plan for a "Meet n' Eat" for the whole staff to introduce ideas and encourage collaboration.  The proposed date for our first "Meet n' Eat" is Wednesday, February 8th in the Library, and the focus will be Blogger.  We hope to set up blogs for as many teachers as we can and it is open to EVERYONE at FHSS!

We also discussed the mission statement of the grant (see post) and how we are going to allocate the funds.

Allocation of funds:
- We want as many staff members involved as possible.
- After collaborative planning you have a goal and an idea where you would like our support, COME SEE JESS OR LEAH!  We want to support you and your inquiry, and together we will come up with a plan!

These are some of the goals that we have been brainstorming:
To use Backward Design in the planning process
To document everyone's journey through a public forum
To encourage the creative implementation of technology in an inquiry-based format

We are so enthusiastic about sharing and working together!  Looking forward to hearing all of your ideas!
