Our mission is to create models of learning that support and inspire collaboration in a cross-curricular, inquiry-based community.

Meet n' Eat

We are excited to welcome George Couros to the Fraser Heights Learning Commons on Thursday, June 13th for our next Meet n' Eat!  We will be discussing some of the myths around technology and social media in education.  Hope to see you there!

I really enjoyed our Meet n' Eat today FH!  Such a great turnout and hopefully you were able to leave with some ideas for your classroom.  If you would like another copy of the handout, email Jess for one.  Thanks Mme Monk for showing us Quizlet!  I'm sure many of us will give it a try, along with Flockdraw.com, iBookcreator, and Keynote.

As mentioned, if you need help with/ideas for using iPads in your classroom, find Jess in period 2 in the IAT prep room.

Thanks for coming.  Stay tuned for info on our next lunch.  Some ideas so far: "Showme" app, iPad protocol.

We will be holding our second Meet n' Eat on Wednesday, April 25th, in the Library at lunch.  The grant committee will not only be providing lunch, but I will be demonstrating iBook creator using the iPad, as well as some other apps that can be used in your classroom.  If you have any ideas or want to learn more about specific apps, let me know and I'll add it to the list.

Please email me if you would like to join us for lunch so that I can order enough for everyone.
